Despite further access problems to the Bundestag server ever extended subscription period expired yesterday - nearly 53,000 have the basic income-petition previously signed online! As the archive logs basic income can continue to be by postcard or fax but not e-mail, co-signed. And for about three weeks, during the entire duration of the parliamentary review process. An exact end date is not determined. The archive basic income provides appropriate templates ready.
The number of Mitzeichner plays but - contrary to other reports, the talk of an automatic entry into the Bundestag or similar -.. Not really matter. It is true that the petition committee (made up of 25 members of parliament composed) imposed in its procedural principles, and, in any case, to hear public those petitions which should be reached within the first three weeks after publication 50,000 "electronic signatures". The deadline for co-signing the basic income-petition, which I here reported had been extended until 17.02.2009. The reasons are on the petition page called:
"Dear users, and users,
because of the technical difficulties that demonstrated the system at the weekend, the deadline for Mitzeichnungen the petition "unconditional basic income" for exactly one week will be extended. It also provides an opportunity to those mitzuzeichen the petition, which is due to the difficulties at the weekend failed. Regardless of the extension of the Mitzeichnungsmöglichkeit the forum is on the petition "unconditional basic income" deadline closed on 10/02/2009.

Indeed, it seems to be due to the totally unsuitable and not parked on the requirements of software architecture, which is not only complicated to handle, but also still several vulnerabilities having more of this entry »

As I read today on WORLD ONLINE, now the Gulf states follow the "Success of the Euro" . Will they thereby decouple from the U.S. dollar, which is its role as a reserve currency on forfeiting? As it goes with the dollar (and the USA) continue? Read this story »

The (unconditional) basic income is one of the few social policies that would have the potential to solve many of our problems with a bang (Zeitgeist reported in Issue 2-2007 ).
Since then, the idea of various sites and stakeholders was discussed, deepened and developed in several Modellanstätzen. Well-known representative of the thought, if different in their implementation idea, are the entrepreneurs Götz Werner and the Thuringian Minister President Althaus. Already three Congresses to basic income were now taken - and an elaborate, highly informative DVD was produced in-house, you can find the trailer on that below.
On December 29, 2008 now felt a citizen of Greifswald, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the pulse, a petition to the German Bundestag submit (Why did not someone earlier on this idea?). Read this story »
