Heiko Lassek (1957-2011)
For all surprising, died on 28.12.2011 Heiko Lassek. The day before yesterday found his burial place in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
I could hear the sad news at first unbelievable. For the physician, scientist and author who has devoted entirely to the continuation of the research of Wilhelm Reich, was, inter alia, had in the personal psychotherapy and to questions of cancer, prescribed been used to Eva Reich even as her father's official successor reached, just the age of 54 years.
Heiko was my brother in spirit and in heart, though we met only a few times in life. Our meetings were, however, always marked by great intensity and a lively exchange. Heiko gave one the feeling that he sincerely interested in the opposite and whose life projects.
He also was an outstanding and generous host. One felt that it gave him pleasure to people who he had in his heart to bring together, to link them, as we say today. In this way, all sorts of interesting contacts were created (in my case, about the philosopher John Henry) who survive Heikos much too early death and will preserve the memory of him. Not only was he himself a real character, he knew many other sizes and celebrities.
Keep in a very special memory I will be our last meeting last year, when we moved again together around the houses and the night into day. The evening took his degree at Heiko home, where we the farewell concert of the highly revered David Bowie, whom he regarded as an outstanding artist and knowing watched. "Heroes", one of the most known songs Bowie, Heiko knew at various levels philosophically to interpret. When we parted, he gave me the said concert DVD, which is now a place of honor with me.
The world is poorer by a great man.
Heiko, my friend, I will not forget you.
