Dr. Eugen Gabowitsch (1938-2009)
Just recently I went to the sad news that I highly appreciate Eugen Gabowitsch no longer with us. He died on 21 January in his age of 71 after several months of suffering. Zeitgeist readers will remember from his chronology critical contribution from issue 1-2004 .
The doctorate in mathematics Gabowitsch counted Heribert Illig and next Uwe Topper probably the best-known analysts of history in this country. Them all was and it is a concern - so different their approaches to research may be - to show that so many of our era is wrong, perhaps even centuries were sealed thereto. Gabowitsch who could represent quite daring theories (such as the fact that the Great Wall of China, as we know it today, not older than 50 years - he could also prove appropriate), always made it a point to speak of fictional time , not by time forgery. The latter sounded him too much conspiracy, while avoiding to hit the heart of the matter. Read this story »
