"Attack" on the TIME
With a "fake" TIME-number on 21 March, the globalization network Attac caused a stir. Claims to have created 150,000 copies of the newspaper in 90 German cities distributed. In the post-dated on May 1, 2010 newspaper edition is anticipated and envisioned what this country and in the world until then everything could be improved and should. Even the display advertising has been transformed creatively. A similar action had the activist group "The Yes Men" last fall with the "New York Times" performed. However, this was not so easy to debunk as forgeries.
Attacs TIME instead has a "telltale" Legal and format that is slightly smaller than the original. Only then two fundamental evil of the money economy would at least packed at the root. Instead Attac calls a controversial world of money ...
Also regarding the "climate change" docked Attac undifferentiated to the Gore'sche Global Warming horror scenario and wants to ask the "main cause of climate change" to Checkout. At the same uncritical renewable energies are promoted. Had the makers in the run times better the current zeitgeist-print edition looked more closely. Right here would have been appropriate in-depth research. From the much more important environmental and species protection and a stop to the sale public property ( Cross-border leasing can greet) you read a word. Right now, where the German forest should believe in it ...
On one point, however Attac lies with his newspaper campaign that a company spokesperson TIME According will probably have no legal consequences, indisputably correct: If we rely on the solution of urgent problems on our politicians, we're leaving. Or free upon Einstein: Problems can not be solved with the same mindset by which they are incurred.
In this sense Attac is already planning the next action, this time on the occasion of the G20 financial summit. The motto: "We will not pay for your crisis! For a caring society. "
