Short-time working, bankruptcies, bailouts - somehow we're probably in a crisis, perhaps even in a world. And that seems to attract more and larger circles, it is at least. But who says that? And what role does it for me as an individual? How to behave best now? What is appropriate, what counter-productive?
First of depression are (as well as the same disease), based on actual trigger, here it is the bursting of the speculative bubble, which inevitably affects the real economy, which must absorb the crash. The latter suffers now from the depreciation of the currencies, the loss of confidence and a prevailing lack of money, such as through the lower purchasing power of consumers. Vaclav Klaus, President of the Czech Republic courageous
One who does not keep bones about his opinion, even on formal occasions not, Czech President Vaclav Klaus. Just yesterday, he criticized the European Parliament that the Lisbon Treaty magnify the gap between citizens and the EU, and even put the role of the European Parliament questioned. He spoke of "democratic deficit decision not selected, but chosen by, bureaucratisation of decision-making" and called to mind, "that one or the other institutional arrangement of the European Union is not an objective end in itself, but a means to achieve real goals." Due to the non-existence of a European people, as Klaus on, a strengthening of the European Parliament would "result in even greater sense of alienation of the citizens of the EU institutions" to one. Despite further access problems on the server before the Bundestag extended subscription period expired yesterday - nearly 53,000 have the basic income-Petitions have been signed online! The deadline for sign-off of the basic income-petition, which I here reported had been extended up to 17.02.2009. The reasons are on the petition page called:
"Dear users, and users,
because of technical difficulties, which showed the system at the weekend, the deadline for co-signatures on the petition "unconditional basic income" is extended by exactly one week. It also provides an opportunity to those mitzuzeichen the petition, which is due to the difficulties at the weekend failed. Regardless of the extension of the Mitzeichnungsmöglichkeit the forum is on the petition "unconditional basic income" deadline closed on 10.02.2009.

As I read today WELT ONLINE, now the Gulf states follow the "success of the euro" . Do they thereby decouple from the U.S. dollar, which is its role as a reserve currency on forfeiting? As it goes with the dollar (and the U.S.) continue? Read this story »
